Happy Early Birthday To Me
My husband is taking advantage of actually seeing me and celebrating my birthday today, before heading back into the work week where it is most likely certain that he will not see me on my birthday. Aside from the wonderful gift of a treadmill, which I LOVE. He disappeared with the kids today and purchased me my favorite candle scents, pumpkin, butter caramel, and coffee. Additionally, he brought home a pizza for dinner, and while this does not sound like much you must understand that it was half mushroom. My husband never EVER concedes to half mushroom, because he fears cross contamination. He will sacrifice eating pizza, rather than touching one that has any sort of "fungus" on it. This is huge. Not to mention, he got the pizza guy to write "Happy Birthday" on the box, which officially made it a birthday pizza. After a failed attempt at the Farmer's Market yesterday to attain a homemade chocolate cake with caramel frosting made by a local Mennonite farmer's wife, they were sold out, he stopped and picked up a cookie cake for me today. It was fresh out of the oven, yummy, gooey, chocolate chip. I am not quite sure how we will ever eat all of it, but it was a sweet and tasty gesture. My youngest purchased a tiara which I wore all during the meal, and then I was serenaded by the kids with their rendition of "Mom It's Your Birthday" by Candace of Phineas and Ferb. All in all a pretty decent birthday!
