Not Quite Princess Material

I love watching my children play, most notably when they are using their imaginations. The other day we were visiting with friends, and there were three little boys and two girls in total. They decided to re-enact the story of Sleeping Beauty. The three year old boy present declared that he would be playing the part of Sleeping Beauty and promptly laid down as if in a deep sleep. My eldest, is a play by the rules sort of child, and a three year old boy, did not Sleeping Beauty make. Chagrined by this turn of events I hear my eldest announce, "That's fine, you can be Sleeping Beauty, but nobody is going to be kissing you. You are just going to have to stay dead!"
