Tricks of Trick or Treating

I need to teach my girls how to trick or treat more effectively. When handed a bucket of candy, always, ALWAYS, claim the chocolate first. Milky Way Bar or Jawbreaker? As if there should be any thought involved with that choice, yet my children consistently grabbed the less superior candy... Sweetarts, Laffy Taffy, and they left the Hershey Bars behind! The travesty of it all! Now if they are GIVEN the candy, they should simply say "Thank You" and not act picky, but if a choice is given there is really no choice at all. Chocolate trumps everything, does it not? Oh well, at least their Halloween buckets won't beckon me often.
