Dog Speak

My family has an affinity for dogs. That should be no surprise to regular readers of my blog. But being "dog people" we tend to do silly things for our furriest family member. Quite often we impose our own thoughts on our dog, and infer that he must be thinking, what we think he is thinking. Confused yet? When we do this, we often have conversations with or for our dog. And use silly voices, as his "speaking" voice. Anyway, my eldest was telling a story about our dog, and said, "Brinkley said, "I have a girlfriend. I have a girlfriend." (She used her silly dog voice when saying what he said). My youngest was listening to the story and said in that condescending three year old tone, "Hey! Dogs don't talk. They woof!"
